Chicago-based LCSW offering online therapy across Illinois
I am a Chicago-based licensed clinical social worker providing telehealth psychotherapy to adult women throughout Illinois. Fully licensed in Illinois, I attended Jane Addams College of Social Work at the University of Illinois at Chicago and worked in Chicago non-profits for many years. I grew up in Elgin, got a bachelor’s degree at Aurora College and moved to Chicago in 1989. From 1999-2019 I lived in Seattle but Chicago called me back home. No matter where I go, the midwestern girl inside continues to exist.
Telehealth Fits Your Daily Life
If you live in and around Chicago you may want to meet in person at times, but telehealth therapy might still make a lot of sense. I want to help you be consistent with therapy and fighting traffic and balancing all the busy woman demands of life. Because of our insane winters, even clients who live blocks away might not want to walk to my office in the subzero temps. Why not make it convenient? So, as long as you have a good internet connection and privacy, we can make it work. More about Online Therapy for Women https://online-therapy-for-women
In-Person Options
For Chicago area women who want in-person sessions, I offer office visits at my Edgewater location at 6033 N Sheridan Road, as well as Walk and Talk Therapy. Learn more about walk and talk therapy at: https://wisewomantherapy.com/walk-and-talk-therapy-chicago/
Private Pay Structure
I don’t work with insurance companies, which means your therapy remains completely private and flexible. No diagnoses reported to insurance, no pre-authorization delays, and treatment tailored to what you need rather than what insurance dictates.
A Practical Consideration
Wise Woman Therapy provides psychotherapy via telehealth to adults who are physically located in Illinois at the time of the session. Because I am a one woman show here, I don’t offer crisis services or on-call availability. I work with women who are ready to do the work of ongoing therapy to improve life.
