Finding a Therapist in a Crowded Telehealth Landscape

There is no shortage of therapists providing telehealth for clients in Florida. This is a good thing overall, however it means that it can be harder to filter through and find someone who brings both professional grounding and lived self-knowledge into the therapy experience. A successful therapy experience depends upon more than credentials and training. Therapists who have done our own work and who are willing to show up as real people are harder to find. I strive to let women know that I have the education and over 30 years experience, and in addition to that, I’m committed to the process of my own ongoing recovery from everything. More about working with me and my origins. https://wisewomantherapy.com/therapy-active-collaboration/

Providing telehealth for women in Florida is dear to my heart. Family and friends there have talked about aspects of living there that feel challenging for anyone outside the mainstream. I am open about being lesbian and this doesn’t mean that I only work with other lesbians. When women come to therapy they are looking for a uniquely human experience. I strive to create safety for women who are looking to become more comfortable with themselves. This has been a huge part of my life’s work and recovery. A lot of women, lesbian or not have become tired of editing themselves. This can be especially true for a lot of women living in the state of Florida at this time in history.

Why Private Pay Matters

I don’t work with insurance companies, which means your therapy remains completely private and flexible. No diagnoses reported to insurance, no limitations on what we can address together, and no pre=authorization delays. The process is straight-forward-you reach out, we schedule, we begin.
